W9 Form

This sample shows how one can fill a pre-defined form.

The goal is to fill up a pre-defined form, usually downloaded from the Internet in PDF or any image format

This simple document demonstrates the following features:

  • How to build the Template based on Data structure;
  • How to place absolutely positioned blocks;
  • Basic formatting (font face and style, colors, alignment, etc.);
  • Specifying a PDF document as background image;

Hammer

This document is an instruction of how to use a hammer.

Regardless of its humorous nature, this document demonstrates an advanced formatting with XSL-FO.

  • How to define complex styles for non-repetitive text documents;
  • How to build the Template based on Data structure;
  • How to write up a static (constant) text and incorporate data fields inside it;
  • Basic formatting (font face and style, colors, alignment, etc.);
  • Specifying background image;

NOTE: This document is supposed to have a different nature, comparing to other samples above. It contains XML and XSL as well, but the XML data is not repetitive. Instead, it introduces important structure elements like chapter, title, problem-cause-remedy, and others.
